On Saturday, 31st May 2025, Malawi Police SACCO carried out a heartfelt Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) outreach at Mai Mbambande Elderly Home in Area 25, Lilongwe. The initiative was aimed at supporting the welfare of elderly residents while fostering a culture of compassion, community care, and social inclusion.
The visit brought together SACCO staff and community stakeholders who spent time engaging with the elderly in a warm and joyful atmosphere. Through this outreach, Malawi Police SACCO reaffirmed its commitment to touching lives beyond its core financial services.
Representing the SACCO was Mr. Richmond Liabunya, ICT and Innovations Manager, who delivered a message of solidarity and appreciation for Malawi’s senior citizens.
“Our work as a SACCO is guided by values that go beyond financial growth. We are here to serve, support, and uplift,” Mr. Liabunya said. “This visit is a small way of showing love and respect to the elderly, who are the backbone of our communities.”
The management of Mai Mbambande Elderly Home expressed deep gratitude for the visit, noting that such acts of kindness go a long way in restoring hope and dignity to those in their care.
This outreach forms part of Malawi Police SACCO’s broader CSR agenda — a commitment to making a positive and lasting impact in the communities it serves.
